If you’re looking for a classy salad to serve following the appetizers at your next dinner party, this Red Pear Salad with Red Wine Vinaigrette is a delicious option. The mixed greens, topped with chopped pecans or caramelized pecans if you’d like an extra note of sweetness to balance out the tanginess of the crumbled chevre and acidity of the red wine vinaigrette.
As with the Caesar salad I shared previously, I used Cipollini onions, which further enhance the already refined flavor profiles of this salad.
The Red Wine Vinaigrette features everything you’d expect from a classic French balsamic vinaigrette balancing the sweet and acidic flavor notes. It’s also Paleo, Whole 30, Keto, Vegan friendly, Gluten, and Sugar-free.

Serves 2
Ingredients —
- Red Wine Vinaigrette (c/o Dress it Up)
- 50/50 Blend (Mixed Greens)
- 1 red pear
- Chevre (crumbled)
- Pecans (halved)
- Cippolini onions (diced) – to taste
Directions —
Wash mixed greens and add to bowls. Slice red pears thinly and fan out at one side of your bowl (3 slices per bowl), top with cippolini onions, pecans, and crumbled chevre. Top with a drizzle of Red Wine Vinaigrette.
