This probably isn’t the first time you’ve heard or read about Summer Fridays Jet Lag Mask, but after hearing so many good things about it, I decided it was time to give the most talked about mask from the blogger founded brand a try. If you’ve been following along here on the blog for awhile, you’ll already know about my affinity for sheet masks. You’ll also know that up until now I’ve never tried a cream mask mostly due to my sensitive/dry skin and the fact that due to my sensitive skin, I can end up with breakouts.
However, after reading a few reviews including one from someone who has sensitive skin like mine, I decided that now was the time to try out the Jet Lag Mask.
ABOUT THE PRODUCT:
The Jet Lag Mask is made with a combination of nourishing vitamins, ceramides, antioxidants and gentle exfoliating extracts. There are no artificial fragrances, parabens or sulfates and this product is 100% cruelty free, which means so far as clean skincare it checks off all the right boxes for me.
HOW TO USE:
Apply an even layer of the mask on cleansed dry skin with your fingertips. This mask is safe for use in the eye area (a huge plus) and can be used both under and over the eye area.
Allow your face to absorb all the ‘hydrating-goodness’ for about 10 minutes. Blot away the excess with a warm wash cloth (if necessary.) There’s no need to rinse!
Tips: You can also just apply the mask and head right to bed, or apply your daily makeup over it for a smooth application.
THE RESULTS:
I wasn’t sure what to expect after my first try with a new product, but going into it I was hoping to plump up the lines that are starting to pop up around my eye area (thank you, 30’s) and give my skin a dewy and refreshed appearance. This mask left my skin feeling refreshed and breakout free. I’m definitely looking forward to using the Jet Lag Mask when my skin needs a little extra TLC (ie after the end of an especially long week!)
ABOUT THE BRAND:
Summer Fridays was founded by Marianna Hewitt & Lauren Gores Ireland, two beauty bloggers who were searching for the perfect product that would leave their skin with a selfie-worthy glow. They created three masks that will leave your skin looking radiant even if you’ve just stepped off the plane after a long flight or a mask that you can quickly apply before heading out for the day. Summer Fridays has been mentioned in publications such as Vogue, Coveteur and The Cut.
