As a lover of things skincare and clean beauty it’s only fitting that my first gift guide of the year would be about skincare. Wander Beauty has created Airplane Mode the perfect mini skincare kit that comes in a little suitcase, just perfect for travel.
While they have several kits available (Prep and Setup Essentials, Cloud9 Mini Lipstick Kit and After Party Eye Kit) just to name a few, I couldn’t have been more excited to receive the mini skincare kit.
Included in the kit is a set of the well loved and much talked about Baggage Claim Eye Masks in Gold, Glow Getter Mist, Drift Away Cleanser, Dive in Moisturizer and Glow Ahead Face Oil. In this post I’ll share my thoughts on each of the products in the kit (along with why I think you’ll want to pick up a kit for yourself and you bestie too!) and why it’s the best way to try out the skincare products from Wander Beauty.
Baggage Claim Eye Mask
If you’ve been following the blog recently, you’ll already know how big a fan I am of the Baggage Claim Masks. Not only do they feel great and deliver results, with the gold or rose gold design you’ll really fee like you’re giving yourself the royal treatment. Just pop these on at the end of the day, or get your day started right and apply while you’re doing your morning makeup routine.
For Best Results — Apply to clean, dry skin for 10-15 minutes. Pat any excess serum into skin.
Glow Getter Mist
Whether you skin is feeling a bit patched from the dry cabin air mid-flight, or the air conditioning above your cubicle at work is wreaking havoc on your skin, the Glow Getter Mist (made with a mix of glacier water and botanical extracts) will work to quench your skin and leave your face with a dewey glow. Note this facial mist has a light rose scent.
For best results — Shake before misting your face.
Drift Away Cleanser
What I love the most about this cleanser is it goes from a gel to a foam, so it’s perfect for using with a facial scrubber (for some extra exfoliation) or on it’s own. I have to say this is hands down one of the best cleaners that I’ve ever used. Not only does it have a mild aroma, but it leaves your skin feeling soft and hydrated. No dry face here!
For best results — apply one pump to the skin and massage until all makeup and skin impurities dissolve. Rinse your face with warm water.
Dive In Moisturizer
This Dive In Moisturizer has pentavitin which not only gives your face instant hydration, but this product will give you a full 72 hours of hydration which is unheard of with most moisturizers. Planning a trip to somewhere where the air tends to get a little dry, or want to keep your face looking hydrated, dewey and refreshed throughout the fall and upcoming winter season? The Dive In Moisturizer is your best bet.
I spot tested this one first on my hand and let me tell you the difference between where I’d massaged in the moisturizer compared to the rest of my hand was a dramatic difference. (Note: with new products its always a good idea to spot test to see how your skin reacts.) I applied the moisturizer to my face after a facial steam and popped on a pair of the baggage claim eye masks for an extra bit of pampering.
For best results — a little goes a long way with the Dive In Moisturizer, just apply a pea sized amount onto a freshly cleansed face and gently massage the moisturizer into your skin. You can use this one for both your morning and evening skincare routines.
Glow Ahead Face Oil
This is the first face oil that I’ve ever tried, so I had no idea what to expect. The Glow Ahead Face Oil is formulated to both moisturize and easily absorb into your skin leaving it with a healthy glow. This face oil is perfect to apply during your morning makeup routine to give yourself a refreshed and well rested look.
For best results — squeeze 2-3 drops of the face oil onto your fingertips and massage into your skin until all of the facial oil is absorbed.
I am a 100% fan of all the products included in this kit, and I highly suggest it for my fellow skincare obsessed fans out there.
