Remember how I said I like picking things on a whim sometimes? Unexpected finds really can be the best (and also very delicious too!) While we don’t make it over to the Traders Joes on Metropolitan Ave as much as we’d like. I love stopping in for fresh flowers, fruit, and occasionally hummus if we’re not making some from scratch ourselves… and in the case of our last visit, this Sparkling White Tea with Pomegranate Juice.
I enjoy getting some Pomegranate arils from time to time to enjoy either on their own, on a charcuterie board, or in a drink. They are full of antioxidants which can have many possible health benefits including helping keep down inflammation, heart and urinary health, and other nutritional benefits.
I made fresh ice cubes a few days before and added them to my old-fashioned glasses (CB2) along with my pomegranate arils. Our mint has been exploding this year so I snipped a bunch for an optional garnish. We added pineapple mint to our little deck herb garden this year and our peppermint, orange mint, and chocolate mint are so prolific this year.
